Lid Emba noise is generated by Sean Moore, a romantic pessimist currently residing in Atlanta, GA, USA.

Destiny?
As an early teen (not yet a stoner introvert), Sean had a dream that ended with him gazing at an album cover gleaming with strobing silhouettes of ominous hippies. The title was Lid Emba. In the world of awake, he found there was no such entity except in his happy head.

Later:
Sean began subjecting himself and others to playing drums to records, advancing by accident and monomania. Then ambition entered the picture and he was a goner. Many bands and genres followed; new wave, art-punk, porno core (the original lineup of the impotent sea snakes), ersatz funk and college-radio hepcat jive. In 1997 he formed post-prog unit 3d5spd; contributing sampling, synths and software abuse in addition to hitting things. The jettisoned sonics became Lid Emba fodder. After releasing four CDs, 3d5spd evaporated in 2004, and Lid Emba moved in permanently.
